For nearly ten years, Polly Burlingham has been designing intimate garden spaces and seasonal container gardens for a diverse clientele of private individuals and local businesses in and around Princeton, NJ .

Her work ranges from Princeton’s sumptuous hanging baskets lining Nassau Street to charming courtyard gardens in downtown alleyways and large container plantings in the center of town. The magnificent urns at Drumthwacket, the Governor’s mansion, and several local popular restaurants display Polly's unique plantings.

Polly's garden design business, Green Gardens, can install and help maintain a variety of plantings including shade gardens, perennial borders and poolside plantings. Custom, seasonal container gardens are planted and changed two to three times per year. Spring clean ups and mulching as well as seasonal maintenance is available on a limited basis.

In 2010 Polly opened Polly's Pots and Gifts part of an artists' collective called VERDE. Located in historic Kingston, NJ alongside the D & R Canal and Eno Terra Restaurant, Polly's Pots and Gifts features a charming mix of custom designed containers for outdoor and interior use as well as an eclectic selection of handcrafted artwork by local artists and free-trade artisan work from around the world. Ceramics, jewelry, fine art and holiday plants are for sale in the shops and galleries at VERDE.
